I was blessed to be able to serve as a TRT at Palo Alto Battlefield NHP last summer. As a US History teacher, I was able to utilize my experiences and park resources in our study of the US- Mexico War and the subsequent Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo and Gadsden Purchase, events that shaped the histories of Arizona as well as Texas and the Southwest.

The National Park Week at Houchin Elementary in Moore allowed one student to enjoy their first trip to CNRA.
I had the honor to be her first teacher in P-K now at the age of 13. I was overjoyed to watch this bright student, as a Teacher-Ranger-Teacher be provided with her first opportunity to experience the park.
